Windows Vista and Office 2007 Going RTM – Nov 6th

According to sources, Microsoft will be releasing Windows Vista and Office 2007 to manufacturing tomorrow, November 6th in order for it to be available to businesses by the end of November and to the general public in January.  It has been a long road to the release of Windows Vista and I’m glad to see it being sent off to manufactures finally.  A note to you non-techies, RTM means Released To Manufacturing.  This is where the final build of the software is sent to be pressed onto CDs or DVDs.  In the case of Windows Vista, it will be pressed to DVD.  General availability for Windows Vista and Office 2007 is scheduled for January 30th.

Update:  Office 2007 has gone RTM!
