Is Your Microsoft Office Legit?

October 30, 2006

Is your Microsoft Office Legit?  That is what Microsoft wants to know.  Last Friday, Microsoft made an anti-piracy check by Microsoft Office XP and 2003 mandatory for users of most versions of the application suite.  The new system called OGA, the Office Genuine Advantage is similar to the WGA, Windows Genuine Advantage that Microsoft rolled out earlier to verify the validity of your copy of Windows.  Users of Office XP and 2003 must prove to Microsoft that their software is legitimate to download add-ons from the Office Web site such as downloading a template to use in Office.  For more information, click here.
