Microsoft to support OpenDocument

Microsoft has decided to support the OpenDocument Format in its upcoming 2007 Microsoft Office.  This is big news for the Open Source community as there will be interoperability between Microsoft’s OpenXML format which is the new document format for Office 2007 and OpenDocument which is the new open source standard used by OpenOffice.  For more information on this support, click here and a Microsoft Press Release info, click here.  For information on the OpenDocument Format, click here.  For information on OpenXML, click here.
