Microsoft to allow users to choose default search engine for IE7

Microsoft announced that they will allow users to choose their own default search engine instead of using Windows Live search as the normal default.  While this may be news from their recent speeach entitled: “How Will Microsoft Enhance Windows While Promoting Competition?”  With each beta, they have allowed users to change the default search engine.  I’ve been using the Google search option with all of the IE 7 betas.  For more information on this, click here.  To find more search providers, click here. For me, I like the fact that they will enhance Windows and promote competition.
